After many years of researches Grenzor S.p.A. has created a tissue capable of screening the electromagnetic fields with excellent results.
The production of this tissue starts from the manufacturing of a cotton or other fibre thread which contains a very thin heart made with a stainless alloy. This a very good conductor which permits the creation of a sort of Faraday cage that isolates from the electromagnetic fields.

 

Some tests, especially those made by Cesi S.p.A. on a cotton tissue sample, show the KS tissue capability of reducing the intensity of an electromagnetic field in a variable measure from 70-75% to 100% over a range from 250 MHz and 18 Ghz. Particularly above 400 MHz the KS tissue screening effect is close to 100%.
Very good results, a screening effect of 60-80%, were obtained also with very low frequencies, such as 50 MHz typical of the alternating current.

 

The product tests made by the cotton textile center show that the KS tissue can be used for several purposes: from the white coat to overalls and covering tissues. Particularly clothes made with KS 541 showed a very high color solidity to the acid and alkaline sweat. Moreover the metal content (manganese, silicon, chrome and iron) observable in the solutions that simulate the acid and alkaline sweats are inferior to the measurement limits of the equipment used.

 

The peculiar extension capability of the KS 541 yarn permits a textile manufacturing similar to that of traditional yarns and the presence of the stainless conductor does not put limitations to the use of this material. This fact is the contrary of what usually happens with materials made either with stainless alloys, which have negative effects when in contact with the skin, for example after frequent garment wash and bleaching, or with carbon fibers versatile but with a much lower screening effect. The use of products made with KS 541 is a very good prevention to the risks connected with the electromagnetic fields exposure and also a mean that improves our wellbeing.
The screening permits the body isolation from the ‘electromagnetic smog’ weakening and eliminating the phenomena connected with the exposure. The whole body has a benefit because the functional activities can be performed sheltered from the interference caused by the electromagnetic fields, simulating an environment similar to the ideal and natural one, that is that environment where our body has been ‘projected to live’.
